THINGS TO DO IN JUPITER
Get Out There Early!
Early mornings – when the air is cool and the water is smooth — are the best time to head out for a paddle on the Wild & Scenic Loxahatchee River or Jupiter Inlet waterways.
Make an online reservation with JUPITER OUTDOOR CENTER and we will meet you at Sawfish Bay or other nearby location with a stand-up paddle board or kayak for this Things To Do in Jupiter event. Paddle past the bright red historical Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. Or head into the sanctuary of Fullerton Island, a birders paradise.
The clear inlet waterways make spotting manatees, sea turtles and fish easy. And don’t forget to check out the juvenile fish nurseries near Cato’s Bridge.
Rather take a bicycle ride? The wide crushed-shell paths in shady Riverbend Park are a fantastic way to start the day. Deer, otters, birds and more like to get out in the early mornings.
There’s lots of shaded gazebos to stop, rest and have your lunch. Maps make getting around easy. And JOC rents all kinds of bicycles – kids, tandems, wide tires.
Kayaks are available too for adventures on the Loxahatchee River.
